Do I need a business to use EnvoiOK?
No — the PDF tools work for anyone, no business identity required. Invoicing works best with a registered business (an EU VAT number where you have one), because a compliant invoice carries the seller's identity.
Can I invoice customers abroad (US, EU…)?
Yes, with the same app — you don't need a different version. The edition reflects where your business is registered, not where your customers are. Just pick the customer's country on the invoice and the app adjusts the VAT (export outside the EU, intra-EU reverse charge with a VIES check), the currency (VAT shown in EUR when you invoice in another currency) and the identity fields (EU VAT/VIES, or plain manual entry elsewhere). A customer abroad just opens the PDF — the embedded e-invoice XML is there if they use it, ignored if they don't.
How does the yearly plan work? Does it renew automatically?
No — you buy a term once and nothing is ever charged automatically. Access runs to the end date shown in the app, then stops until you buy again. If you bought as a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw for a full refund; after that a term isn't refunded. Refund policy →
Is my data safe?
Yes. EnvoiOK is local-first: your files stay on your machine and your original is never modified. The only time a file leaves is opt-in server conversion, where it is converted and deleted immediately — never stored or logged.
What is Factur-X / EN 16931?
EN 16931 is the European semantic e-invoice standard. Factur-X / ZUGFeRD is a hybrid format: a human-readable PDF/A-3 with the structured XML embedded inside, so both people and machines read the same invoice.
